HIMA Training
September 2016
Houston, TX – SIS-TECH continues to expand its technical offerings for programmable controllers in safety applications. Recent training held on-site at SIS-TECH was “intended to expand the capabilities of our staff in the programming, diagnostics, and test tools provided by the HIMA controller.” according to Brant Smith, Director of SIS-TECH’s ICE Team. “We have worked with HIMA before, but the number of SIS-TECH personnel trained this year is unprecedented,” states Angela Summers, President of SIS-TECH. SIS-TECH is also well-versed in other programmable control systems, such as Honeywell, Delta V, Triconex, ABB, Siemens, Yokogawa, and GE.
SIS-TECH provides professional technical services for projects, turnarounds, and long-term site support. Expertise includes analyzers, field sensors, valves, hardwired systems, power distribution, programmable controllers, and non-programmable controllers like the cyber-secure Diamond-SISâ. SIS-TECH understands how to get the best performance from the individual pieces of equipment and how to integrate the overall system to accomplish the site’s safety objectives. SIS-TECH’s highly trained personnel provide assurance that the instrumentation and controls in safety applications perform reliability and earn the trust of engineering, operations and maintenance.
SIS-TECH announces the latest revision of the Diamond-SIS
August 2016
Houston, TX – SIS-TECH announces the latest revision of the Diamond-SIS- an alarm/trip module used for safety alarms, equipment protection interlocks, and safety instrumented systems in the process industry. The same input signal used to trigger the safe state of the Diamond-SIS output (rated for 5 amps total load) is easily transmitted back to the process control system through the isolated 4-20mA output now included in the same hand-sized footprint as the original release. No 3rd party equipment is needed to send the input signal to other systems. The Class 1 Div 2 rating of the din-rail mountable Diamond-SIS supports installation near tanks, boilers, heaters, furnaces, pumps, and other applications where the operator needs to interact with the process equipment locally, while being monitored for safe operation.
