SIS-TECH has named Brant Smith its ICE Director

July 2016

SIS-TECH has named Brant Smith its ICE Director. Smith joined SIS-TECH as a design consultant in 2008 and has served in multiple leadership roles.  Smith will manage and expand SIS-TECH’s Instrumentation, Controls and Electrical (ICE) services, while assuring quality control, sustaining safe work practices and instituting reliable record management systems. Since 2012, he has taken a lead role in new product development, including SIS-TECH’s newest product the ICE-TabletTM.  Brant will lead ICE efforts from SIS-TECH’s office in Houston, TX.


 

SIS-TECH introduces the ICE-Tablet™

July 2016

Houston, TX – SIS-TECH introduces the ICE-Tablet™. This innovative new product reduces the time required to execute turnaround testing of protective instrumentation. The ICE-Tablet™ was “designed to manage work flow and to ensure quality record retention” according Brant Smith, Director of SIS-TECH’s ICE Team. The ICE-Tablet™ is constructed of rugged hardware suitable for hazardous environments and the user interface is ergonomically configured for use in the field. The innovative design, slim profile, and HART compatibility allows the ICE-Tablet™ to support in-service testing of any protective systems, including safety controls, alarms, interlocks, and safety instrumented systems.
