PRISM-certified®: Functional Safety Management of Safety Instrumented Systems

PRISM-certified® is a certificate-in-training program provided by SIS-TECH. The program addresses the lifecycle management of instrumented safety systems. The intent of the PRISM-certified® course is to explain the fundamental concepts and management system requirements of IEC 61511, with a focus on the obligations of the “Operations and Maintenance” and “Modification” phases of the functional safety lifecycle, and to provide common sense, practical approaches to meeting these requirements. The course is conducted in two half-day virtual sessions.
An online post course exam, consisting of multiple-choice questions, is used to confirm successful learning. An overall test score of 80% is required to receive PRISM Certification. Certificates are sent to students who have demonstrated the required level of knowledge.
